Le gin est un spiritueux obtenu par l’aromatisation d’alcool neutre avec des baies de genièvre et d’autres épices (angélique, coriandre, gingembre, aneth…) La petite touche personnelle d’Olivier c’est de lui adjoindre du citron et du Génépy. D’où son nom « Gin des Sommets » et oui dans les Alpes du Sud on a aussi notre Gin régional ! Les gins étaient à l’origine britanniques ou hollandais. A consommer nature avec quelques glaçons ou sur glace pilée ou en long drink bien connu tel que le Gin Fizz et le Gin tonic. Ces deux cocktails ont été créés par la Marine anglaise lors de leurs nombreux périples.
